Tears of a Nation

Today, it rained on the top of the world. I was there, walking on the slushy ice covetered sidewalks.  An iron statue of a ram greeted us with information of its trek along the mountains and its tie to the tiny town of Radium Hotsprings.
In the visitor centre, I found a wall of the history of the native people of the lands.
It was a reminder. A reminder that just because they deem you a criminal today does not mean you will not be considered an hero tomorrow.
If history tells us anything, it tells us of the governments 

2014 slaves, horses, death...NOW PRAY!

I have spent this last month, discovering more injustices. With the escape of Brian McGiveran,the naked Texas prisoner. He made the headlines because he was recaptured in the forest without clothes. The video gave me a haunting memory of the past and Africans in chains naked and sold as livestock. They are a slew of Police walking around, laughing, patting eachother on the back returning a man to a cage. Naked and in chains. He was convicted of 2 aggrevated burglary which occured within hours of each other when he was 17.

"Wanted DEAD OR ALIVE, BEATEN AND BROKEN" He was sentenced to 30+ years. Is this how you would punish your child? ? He does 18 years and can't take it no more and escapes. What do think is happening to him? It is not fair to give extreme punishments for crimes that do not equate. It is slavery. I did research, found some organizations and asked them to look into this case. I have not heard back. And down the rabbit hole I go... I researched police brutality. From the beginnings of railroad workers and coal miners. Hired by big business to intimidate the working class man into submission. Why is it okay for cops to beat our asses, strip us, chain us, cage us, disrespect us? They lose it all the time and don't have any accountability. The Government is responsible for hiring these aggressive enforcers. Why should they be allowed to serve us? Why can't we decide who polices our community. Do we feel safe for our children? It is possible to use your accounts as votes. Hastags. Do you think you would want the right to choose who is capable of serving and protecting. Then I came across Delbert Africa

. Delbert was part of a 70's Africa back to nature movement, MOVE One police officer got shot and 9 MOVE members where convicted of his murder, with 100 year sentence. The Documentary, "Let the Fire Burn" was a documentary documenting the second "travesty" in 1985. The Eighth Amendment (Amendment VIII) to the United States Constitution is the part of the United States Bill of Rights (ratified December 15, 1791[1]) prohibiting the federal government from imposing excessive bail, excessive fines or cruel and unusual punishments, including torture. The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that this amendment's Cruel and Unusual Punishment Clause also applies to the states. The phrases in this amendment originated in the English Bill of Rights of 1689. I believe we must stand for what is right. Police officers are sworn to protect and serve, if they violate this oath, shouldn't they be held to the fullest extent of the law? I believe so.)

Free all prisoners who have truly paid their debt. What is really fair? Truly, we confuse our youth. What is right? They killed a guy in Tacoma, 4 on 1 this week. He asked for help. A party with loud music, tazed a grandma, peppersprayed kids. and they sentenced Trevion Blount to 118 years.. We are responsible for our children. We are responsible for our land. We are responsible for the wellness of our fellow man. We are responsible for today. I got wind of the Wild Horse Cull that they have been doing, despite the The Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act of 1971 (Public Law 92-195). Their management consists of rounding up, penning, killing, and conforming (adopting out). The Bureau of Land Management, rents the land out for domestic cattle. So why should the wild horses get to eat for free? Here is an organization that is helping the horses. Boycotting, writing, donating, speaking, rapping, praying, signing petitions, anything that you can do... makes a difference. My grandmother died May 1, 2014. It had been 18 years since I've seen her. Maybe 3 years since I talked with her. Appreciate this moment. Have love in your heart. and here is my meditation, sing it with me.
